Moving from music to film, Peyton has charted a unique creative course. His production, writing, and arranging skills contributed to many music hits. (including Peyton's own #1 charting release, "Latitude, 40 Degrees North") In the 80's and 90's Peyton worked with artists including Michael Brecker, Steps Ahead, James Brown, Melba Moore, Nona Hendrix, Levon Helm's, and Dan Hartman. Peyton has written underscore music for the Friends series, the Smithsonian, PBS "Nature" series, and many TV productions and jingles.
In 1991 Peyton, a 6,000 hour instrument rated pilot, founded EarthFlight Media, a registered multi media production and music company that combined Peyton's passion for flying, filming, and music. EarthFlight created and produced a series of aerial films featuring aerial landscapes and wildlife across North America for broadcast and retail. (not to be confused with the BBC Earthflight productions that uses our name without permission)
Peyton's industrial work includes turnkey productions for major aviation companies as, Sennheiser, Extra Aircraft, Daher/ Socata, JPI, AvNav, and many others. Peyton's aerial photography has contributed to many films like "Along Came Polly" with Ben Stiller, "The Punisher" with John Travolta, "Storm" with Luke Perry, "Island of Doctor Moreau" with Marlon Brando, "What the Bleep", and music video footage including JayZ, Beyonce, TLC, as well as thousands of footage placements. Recent work includes an, Atlantic Crossing Video, and the kindle book "Cloudman". Craig continues to perform in New York with his Fusion quartet, The Craig Peyton Group, work in aviation marketing and aerial photography.
